Jean-claude Alphen was born in Rio de Janeiro and was raised in France.
He began his career of illustrator as a caricaturist of newspaper.
Since then, he published more than one hundred  children's book as an author and illustrator.

His book "Super"was selected to be displayed into the Annual White Ravens Catalogue.

In 2024, Les Aventures D´Alphonse Lapin was awarded the Paris Academy of Architecture Prize. ​

In addition to Brazil, I have published books in France, Europe, Colombia, Korea and Canada.
